Making a Real Impact in Hospitals Across Spain

Every year, Fundación Aladina provides essential support to over 1,500 children and their families in 22 partner hospitals, offering emotional, psychological, and material assistance. The foundation also spearheads major hospital renovations and advances research and training programs that drive progress in pediatric cancer treatment.

Fundación Aladina has introduced Spain to an innovative model of care for children with cancer—one that seamlessly integrates medical treatment with love, play, and laughter. This holistic approach has been especially transformative for teenagers undergoing treatment, a group that, until recently, was often overlooked in cancer care.

Comprehensive Support for the Whole Family.

At Fundación Aladina, supporting families is just as important as supporting patients. Childhood cancer doesn’t just affect the child—it impacts parents, siblings, and even grandparents. That’s why Aladina provides holistic, family-centered care, ensuring that every loved one feels supported throughout this challenging journey.

The foundation’s mission is built on four key pillars:

  • Emotional Support – Providing continuous companionship for patients and their families
  • Psychological Support – Offering free, personalized counseling to help families navigate the emotional challenges of cancer
  • Material Support – Renovating public hospitals and providing financial aid to families in need
  • Training & Research – Funding scholarships for oncologists and supporting groundbreaking cancer research both nationally and internationally
